Welcome to BBEST

BBEST is a local group of residents and business owners in the area roughly defined as Broomhill, stretching from Weston Park and Crookes Valley Road to the east to the Ranmoor conservation area to the west, and from Crookesmoor and Tapton Crescent Roads to the north down to Riverdale and Glossop Roads to the South.

Under the provisions of the Localism Act of 2011, BBEST was formed to create our own Neighbourhood Plan to promote the social, economic, and environmental wellbeing of our area. This plan will set out a vision for the neighbourhood in which we live and set out our priorities for the future. Sheffield City Council will have to take the plan into account when making planning and development decisions. The plan will also help the community to secure funding for projects to improve the area. Once prepared, the plan would be voted on by all those who live or work in our area and, if passed by majority vote, would be implemented as planning policy to guide development in the area over the next 15-20 years.

This is OUR plan and all those who live or work in the BBEST area are encouraged to get involved. We are the experts on our own areas and only with your help will our plan reflect the best ideas, hopes, and visions for the future.

We are currently gathering information, conducting surveys, and listening to people’s opinions about what is important to include in our plan. We would love to hear from you. Please get involved by emailing info@bbest.org.uk.
