Environment and Green Spaces

This BBEST strand seeks to identify existing open spaces in the BBEST area to ensure that they are protected.  Work has already been commissioned from ECUS, which has looked at:

• The ecology of the area:
  • Green Space Plan 
    
  • Green Space Drawings 
    
  • ECUS 2014-15 Green space and tree study details
  • BBEST Greening the Centre

• Trees in the area:
  • Outline Strategic Tree Study
  • Figure 1A – BBEST Tree map
  • Figure 1B – BBEST Tree map
  • Figure 1C – BBEST Tree map
  • Figure 1D – BBEST Tree map

The group will evaluate this information and draw together recommendations to be included in the Neighbourhood Plan.

Can you help us….?

• Have you seen any unusual wildlife or plants in the area?  If you have any evidence or sightings of wildlife or unusual plants within our area, especially of protected species, please let us know so that we can include this in our documentation of the area’s wildlife and fauna.
• Do you have a favourite poem or piece of writing involving a green space in the BBEST area?  If so, please share it with us.
• Do you know of a green space that could be made more of a community resource than it currently is?  If so, please get in touch.
